Cricket on Ifield Green

Cricket was first played on Ifield Green in 1721 and Ifield Cricket Club, formed in around 1804 and having 5 men's teams, a women's team and one of the biggest colts sections in Sussex, continues to thrive to this day.

An 'Ancient Ifield' Exhibition was held at Crawley Museum between 5 June and 5 July 2025. The posters that were on display at this exhibition can be downloaded from here.
