The Millhouse

The timber framed house on the banks of the Millpond, known as The Millhouse and until recently a public house, was the iron masters house and was built in the late 1560's at the same time as the Millpond was constructed and Ifield Forge started operating.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

An 'Ancient Ifield' Exhibition was held at Crawley Museum between 5 June and 5 July 2025. The posters that were on display at this exhibition can be downloaded from here.
