The Plough Inn, Old Plough Cottage and Harrow Cottage

To the east of St Margaret's Church in Ifield Street is old Plough Cottage which was built in around 1600 and is the original Plough Inn. The current Plough was built on the site of the stables in 1900.

Adjoining Old Plough Cottage is Harrow Cottage which was built in the 1700s and was, until the early parts of the 20th century, the village shop.

A reading was delivered in the Old Plough Inn by leading 19th Century reformer, Quaker & philanthropist, Elizabeth Fry in 1837.
