Ifield Tithe Barn

Immediately to the north of St Margaret's Church is what we now refer to as the Ifield Barn Theatre but this was originally the tithe barn for the parish. The barn was built in the 13th or 14th century, being reconfigured to the structure we see today in the 16th century, with the stable block being added during the early 20th Century. The hay loft to the rear was built sometime before 1840.

The Ifield Barn Theatre Society was founded in 1968 and set about restoring the dilapidated barn. Since becoming a theatre, the barn has been maintained by voluntary donations and the unpaid efforts of its members.

The Ifield Barn Theatre presents regular shows. Please see their website for full details of what's on and how to book or, for the budding thespian, how to audition for a part.
